If you don't get the enjoyment of long springs and summers then naturally you want to enjoy the outdoors as much as you can and whenever possible. It stands to reason if you're going to do this, you want to be in pleasant surroundings.

Something you may want to consider is making your outdoor area your outdoor home because this is where you going to spend most of your time. This can be lots of fun and you can be very innovative and go beyond the norm.

To begin with, it will all depend on the size of your yard but you can make justifications or alterations according to the space that you have.

So what does our indoor home have? It has several rooms and there is no reason why you can't create the same atmosphere for your outdoor home meaning several different garden rooms.

You could start by sectioning off different areas of your yard and decorating it with different themes. For example when one looks at our bedrooms, they signify privacy and tranquility. For your outdoor room simulating your bedroom would be ideal if you could put up borders of high flowers or shrubs. In keeping with the inside atmosphere of privacy and tranquility make it a place where you would put a lounge and perhaps a small fountain.

Then when it comes to the kitchen, the most likely area for this of course is going to be your patio. There is no shortage of furniture on the market now that is geared specifically for outdoor cooking. You can actually make your outdoor home kitchen so feasible that it mimics your indoor one.

Moving onto the living room once again the patio furniture that is available is no different from that which you would use indoors except that it's weatherproof. Again, you don't want to conform with what everybody else has. You want to be a little bit innovative on the type of furniture you pick out. This is the perfect opportunity for you to design a theme room that perhaps you have always wanted to do but there was just no ideal indoor space for it.

These are just a few suggestions of how to start your outdoor home. Now that you have the idea, it's up to you to use your imagination and continue to build your outdoor living space as big and elaborate as you like.
